This policy is designed to comply with the Google Play Developer Program Policy, including requirements around user data transparency, the Prominent Disclosure & Consent requirement, and the Data Safety section.

By using the Drivoo app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

This information is collected during account registration or when you book a ride, and is used to identify you, verify your account, and enable communication.

1.2 Location Data

We collect real-time GPS location data of your pickup and drop-off points to facilitate ride matching, accurate fare calculation, navigation, and trip safety tracking. With your permission, background location may be used during an active trip to support live trip-sharing and safety monitoring features.

1.3 Transaction Details

• Ride history
• Fare amounts
• Preferred payment method type (e.g., UPI, cash, card — we do not collect or store full card numbers, CVV, or other sensitive financial credentials)

1.4 Device and Usage Information

We may automatically collect device identifiers, app version, operating system, crash logs, and diagnostic data to maintain app stability and security, consistent with Google Play's Data Safety requirements.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Service Fulfillment: To connect you with available driver-partners and complete your transportation requests.
• Communication: To send booking confirmations, invoices, OTPs, and safety updates via SMS, WhatsApp, or in-app notifications.
• Safety & Support: To monitor trips for safety purposes, respond to incidents, and provide effective customer support.
• Personalization: To improve app features and offer relevant promotions based on your travel patterns.
• Legal Compliance & Fraud Prevention: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical issues.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

• With Drivers: We share your name and location details with the assigned driver-partner solely for the duration of the trip, to enable pickup and navigation.
• Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors (e.g., payment processors, cloud hosting, SMS/communication gateways) strictly to operate the Service, under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with a court order, government request, or to assist law enforcement agencies.
• No Third-Party Selling: We do not sell or rent your personal information to third-party marketing companies.

4. Data Safety (Google Play Disclosure Summary)

All data is encrypted in transit. Users may request data deletion at any time (see Section 6).

5. Data Retention

We retain personal and trip data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Ride history may be retained for accounting and legal record-keeping purposes as required by applicable Indian law.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
• Withdraw consent for location access at any time via device settings (this may limit app functionality)
